We don't really listen to new bands that come out. Newest band I think M has liked is A Day To Remember and they have been around for years. E newest band is most probably Tonight Alive and again they have been around for abit now

Manson has been awful the last couple of times I've seen him live.Looked terrible and his performance was dire.Nowhere near aa good live as he was 10-15 years ago.It's a shame,as his albums are superb,especially Mechanical Animals and Antichrist Superstar,but his live performances over the last 5 or so years have been dreadful

I saw NIN the other year at manchester and it was terrible! No-one had a clue who the support act was and they cut short and changed closer!! I was not impressed! Me and my cousin ended up walking out and sitting in the pub in victoria station til our other cousin came out at the end

excited as the Maiden tour starts next week, 3 gigs for us. Been to one of the Hard Rock Hell events in Wales too, very good despite most of the artist sets being quite short compared to a standard gig

Aenima is one of my all time favourite albums. Math rock as fuck. A thinking man's metal.

I'd really recommend Groundation too. They're a reggae band, but with the depth and complexity of good metal band. Like Tool...

Upon The Bridge and We Free Again are the albums to check out.

Partner Rocks99 is far more of a metal fan than me but saw NIN in Manchester Apolla quite a number of years and loved it. They did not mess with Closer then.

Seeing Metallica later this year in Manc and will be my first experience of them live.

I'm more at the Rammstein, NIN, Metallica end of things rather than Death and Thrash metal.

Going to see them in Cardiff. Seen every tour since the slavery in 84. To me the best there is and always will be. To be where they are after 40 years takes some doing.

Maybe it depends on the band and what size screen they set up. Only been near back once of nickelback/daughtry and had a good view but ive good eyes as i can see distance

Get yourself along to Steelhouse Feastival Ebbw Vale in the summer . Probably the least expensive festival to go to and not far from you . £105 for the weekend including camping

I'm feeling all nostalgic and going to see Kiss at the end of May. I've seen Kiss many times in the 80s and it was always a good show.

I'm unsure what to expect really. I know that Paul Stanley's voice is certainly not what it was but fair play to anyone who can move around a stage in those platforms and it will be great to see the makeup and costumes.

More of a Clutch fan to be fair, but I see where you're coming from! But still, raucous hardcore is kinda far removed from goth. On the other side of the coin, I went for a pint at a grotty rock bar near where I used to work, and at least two or three people said "You DO know it's a goth night tonight, don't you?" When I asked the one kid (turned out to be the DJ) what he was getting at, he said "well, you're wearing a Down t-shirt"

So obviously I couldn't possibly listen to Fields of Nephilim or The Cure as well, could I?!

I can totally understand this. I'll go to concerts in whatever outfit I fancy at the time. At my first Rammstein concert I wore a very pretty pink circle skirt dress with huge frilly underskirt. People laughed but it never bothers me.

Fuck conforming and having an "appropriate" look.I went to Download a couple of years ago in a pink ballerina tutu outfit with black lipstick and nails,a blue mohawk and big steel-toe workboots.Couldn't give a shit what anyone thinks or says about how I look,I felt like dressing up and wanted something different.Blokes took the piss but a lot of lasses loved it.

Controversy around 3 of my favourite live albums; this one, Live and Dangerous (overdubs?), and Priest's Unleashed in the East but what the hell,listen and love.

Talking of gigs...Kiss,Rainbow and Purple, hoping to see Gov't Mule and I'm not sure if this band were mentioned in the last post but if you love guitar Gods check out Black Label Society.....enjoy

I caught Soundgarden at Hyde Park a couple of years ago. Thought I'd missed my shot to see them in the 90s, then they appear supporting Sabbath AND they do "Superunknown" in full. Fuck yeah.

I have had a look through here some amazing bands and some for me to look into also!!
