OK who are they? The people who find a post from a year ago and get it going again on the forums?

Who else trawls posts that old, and allows them to rise from the ashes? Is this a weird time bending aspect of Fab?

I find some of the threads that get bumped really weird. What were these people searching for?

Exactly. If it was a subject relevant to an anniversary, for instance Madeline McCann then I understand. But some of the reinstated stuff is rather...well, bizzare!

Sorry I'm sure you'll get a phone call later, asking if you've been wrongly enticed into reading a thread, and if so you're entitled to compensation

This baffles me too, I've only ever gone as far as page two, how far back would you have to go? Unless they're searching for a specific thread?

who randomly typed in urinal and decided to bring it back? Maybe I'll just type in random words to see what it brings up. I'll start with wombat.

I find this interesting as users often get berated for not searching forums before posting yet the general consensus seems to be restarting a thread is odd. Can't really win, I guess there's always someone who'll moan or try belittle other people.

Personally I think it's better to start fresh than restart older threads but just my opinion

True...never thought of that.

Personally I agree..it's better to start a fresh thread with different viewpoints and attempt to be original. But hey its a free world on here !

I sometimes press the green arrow and see old posts that way and don't bother looking to see how old they are..... Guess others do it too.

I prefer bumping unanswered threads just as they are about to drop off the front page usually by posting a random comment containing any old shit that happens to emerge from my finger tips ....
