Isnt it funny how little thing can bring back such lovely memories.
A/ks walnut whip thread got me thinking about my grandma.I adored her she was one of lifes "special" people.
When she died someone put a great big piece in the local paper about what a sad time it was for the local village and basically saying how wonderful she was and all the good things she did for everyone. My mother is of the same character |

The one thing i can never think of about my grandma without crying is this.
They always lived in a tied farm cottage my grandad had worked on the farm since he was 14, i was on a small lane connected to the farm.
My grandma was diagnosed with cancer just before the christmas and was a deeply religous woman who never forced it down anyones throat.
Some new people had taken over the farm, a couple with 4 teenage boys they all played in a brass band.
Christmas morning about 10am they all went and stood under my grandmas bedroom window and played carols to her on there instruments |
