A water purifier at home! Fill my bottle with purified tap water! And it tastes better than bottle because it hasnt been in a plastic bottle! And its cold so no need to take room in fridge! Also does hot! Cant live without it now |

Tap generally as bottled water producers are in many instances depleting supplies that they have no right to. In California it's horrific, where the state has had many years of drought but nestle and others take state water and bottle it up. A huge con. |

Council pop for general thirst quenching at work or for exercising. Cheap sparkling water at home. I don't drink so when i go for dinner i substitute wine for a good sparkling mineral water. San Pellegrino or Badoit. |

"Tap....
It's free
Nothings free you still pay for it via your council tax.
We are the only species on the planet who pay to survive!"
I've never heard of Council Tax including the cost of water. I've always paid for my water useage to the local water company |

Nah you pay for the water you waste. The water is free. But we are charged for draining it away if we don't consume it.
Thus if all you used from the public supply was water to drink then you would pay nothing. |

Boil water till it goes away. You end up with a salt residue. Certainly not a cigar. |

Salt is not dehydrated water,,,,,, salt exists in water and can be extracted from water but salt is not the constituent component of water
But hey if it floats your boat to argue the point I suggest you take the challenge to someone whose interest is suitably captured by debating such matters.....

Why is there this fixation with salt?
If you evaporate most tap or bottled water (sea water excepted of course), then the biggest mineral deposits that you will be left with will be calcium, not salt. |

It's the salt that makes it tastey though.
If I accidently bought a desalinated bottle of water I'd have no choice but to season it.
(funky top tip: a dash of pepper gives your water a lovely zing ) |

You need to dehydrate tobacco leaves if you want a cigar.
I am not sure what you need to dehydrate for a sense of humour.

"why do some bottled water bang on about how it comes from ancient springs, and then have a use by date of a couple of weeks?"
It's not the water that has the expiry date, its the packaging, in said case the plastic bottle, as is the case with most things nowadays. |

An answer to what .... so far you've failed offer an objective challenge that warrants making a considered response .....
In all its forms Water without salt is water,,,,, you seem unable or unwilling to accept that dehydrated desalinated water is not salt or should I say refined "table salt"
But hey feel free to have the last word ........ no doubt it'll make me chuckle....... |
