love it, we still have order and freedom but many take this for granted. There are no so many countries where you find such tolerance and kindness and its beauty (if not the climate) is breathtaking. |

Having lived in a number of differnet countries... I d agree it is a great place to be and I am not just saying that because of its famous Bread and Butter puddings... It is overall a country of great tolerance of eccentricity, a country where humour exists in sometimes adversarial situations and a country where there is empathy for those who are not as fortunate - in my experience anyway.
PS Cannot, after all those years come to terms with Vinegar on chips though |

It is a fantastic country... we just don't celebrate it enough.
The Royal Wedding Day was a great buzz and showed us off to the world. Kate and William have done us proud in Canada. We have world champions, musical superstars, outstanding actors and artists.
and for the size of the country in comparison to others...
we should stand proud and stop knocking ourselves... |

I'm feeling all patriotic now. There is nowhere on earth I'd rather live. All together now....
God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen:
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us:
God save the Queen.
