For me its whole milk - I know I shouldn't if I want to keep the weight off...but I can't help it, it makes the best porridge, cup of tea and coffee.

So any of you have normal foods which you enjoy a bit too much?

As it is thought now that skimmed milk is bad for you!

I don't see this as a guilty pleasure more a healthy one

Agreed. Nothing better than proper butter on toast or a ham/roast beef sarnie.

Why is it seen as healthier now?

I know that so long as you exercise fats are good for you, as it prevents you from loading up on sugar :P

Carbs make us fat, not fat.

Low fat or fat free bastardised foods contain more sugar.

For the vitamins that are taken out and a whole multitude of reasons.

Google "is skimmed milk bad for you" that will give you more detail

"Whipped cream "

I'm more of a clotted cream with jam and scones or double cream with strawberries kinda guy.

Though whipped (squirty cream) is great fun for bedroom antics...I mean hot chocolates...

Another +1 for proper butter.

Nice salted stuff. The best ones are from hotels, them little rectangular blocks taste better than from tubs

Well...depends on the rest of your diet and activity levels. Just be careful to monitor your saturated fat levels.

Definitely tastes better, and sometimes all I want is a nice ham and cheese sarnie with a good amount of butter on the bread.

True, though the good old lurpak stuff is good.

There is an old estate about a 40 min bike ride away from me, if I have time I go there on a Sunday to get a proper piece of meat for roasting, and their home churned butter if they have any left.

Not to mention their pies and eggs which are to die for....

Almost everything I eat is a guilty pleasure in one way or another - whole milk, cheese at most meals, ice cream, bread in all its forms, everything. It's why I've had to start exercising for the first time.
