for £13k you can get a really decent second hand motor, but check the insurance on it first. I'd be looking for a nice Merc coupe 2nd hand for that kinda money.

try and get O% finance,,, or pay by credit card and do a 0% balance transfer offer... and keep your savings

go for a nearly new ds3.

i bought a '10' plate one about 3 months ago and it's a cracking car.

i paid just shy of 13 grand for it and it still had less than 8000 on the clock.

because they have only been out a short while, there are a lot of ex demo / high spec models available with the leather interior, alloys, park sensors etc

I will look out for one of the ex demos then just need to find a garage with one who will give me the same part exchange price

Have you thought of flogging yer existing car privately, then negotiate from a strong position on yer DS3?

I just think 6 grand for a 4 year old facaus zetec is a great price for part exchange dont think i would get much more privately. But it is between ds3 or m3

oH to live in a low crime area

i put my car insurance thru a corporate policy, but i did some comparisons on insurances before i bought

bearing in mind i'm over 40, not had a claim in 8/9 years, no points (and never have had) the cheapest quote i received was in excess of £1,400 !

that's what ya get for living in an 'M' postcode

my niece is insured thru the co-operative

she has just moved from a stockport postcode to a rochdale postcode and they have cancelled her policy

they don't cover cars in the rochdale area apparently

somewhat ironic, as the 'co-operative group' is originally a rochdale based movement

Off topic, but wouldn't the current day Rochdale more closely resemble the result of a bowel movement?
