Because they can. There may be many reasons - wife is ill, maybe separated, staying together for the kids but nothing else, playing with permission, single profile but also part of a couple on here....

Until my divorce came through I was still technically married although separated - does that mean I shouldn't have been here...? Before that we were both on here as a couple and as single profiles allowed to play as a single - does that mean I shouldn't have been here either?

There are many reasons, and until you know them, it may be best not to condemn them to swinger hell....

Attached men in my experience are far more reliable than singles as they have to plan meets, rarely let you down without a damn good excuse and tend to be more choosy about who they do meet in terms of discretion etc., ...plus there's also the added bonus of them not harboring secret hopes of something 'more' developing

Plenty married women too. I don't think they ruin the site. In fact in some ways NSA is possibly far easier with married people because they are in theory less likely to get clingy.

There is someone for everyone on this site and thats the beauty of it.

I don't see how being married or not ruins anything, most people are in to the lifestyle for fun and yes I agree that most of the people you might meet are people you might want a relationship with and you can find people like that on here .

I would suggest that a relationship male or female should not be the main aim so that you don't fall in love and get upset cause I agree there are very handsome guys and very beautiful women here and its easy to fall for them even though they are attached lol

Don't let it ruin things for you OP; there are things I don't particularly favour that crop up on Fab - I just avoid them and move on to things that I do like, I certainly don't let it get to the point that I feel its 'ruining' it for me.
