Beer that Doesn't Taste of Beer....

Perhaps because it was on offer, or perhaps because I feel that I should cut back on my alcohol intake a bit, I have recently purchased some "Bud Light".

I probably should have known better, but I did it anyway (seems to be a theme in my life).

Can anyone explain the point of this stuff please? It tatstes of .iterally nothing.

Put it in the fridge. On a hot day you will really enjoy it.

I actually really like the stuff.

I did refrigerate it - I had a few cans last week around a campfire with my daughter and I've just opened one now.

I mean, it's not that its weak - I quite like mild, for example, it's just that it doesn't taste of anything.

Given that I didn't want it to be strong, what would you suggest? Weak bitter appears to be Smiths or Creamflow and they are both horrid.

I do have a soft spot for shandy bass, my grandad used to have some in his pantry and if I was good, I'd get a can.

Brighton - even Hove!

I got a mini can of bud lite free. I should have used it for cock size photos. It didn't taste of much. Light in colour and light on flavour.

Try a ginger beer

Lidl have their "own" range of craft beers (actually brewed by Wychwood) but their Ginger Grizzly is superb

The point of bud light is the company that make it had very few none premium lagers ie beers under 4.8/5% so some bright spark decided to water budwiser down to fill the gap ish.

The point of your buying it is anyone's guess. Why not just buy your normal beer and a bottle of lemonade after all that's all they're doing

It's the placebo effect, like drinking Bottle Green elderflower in a wine glass.

Pretty pointless I suppose but sometimes does the trick, probably depends on your 'relationship' with alcohol.

You can get it in Lidl, but I think they only do it in summer.

I like it, and it's very refreshing, but it tastes like shandy, not beer.

Sureley they did market research before they launched Bud Light.... I would have thought that people who liked beer, wanted beer to taste of beer....
