profile why hide

The ones that really grate me are the ones who message from hidden profiles, viewing me does not bother me though.
Guess the ones who message , have something to hide or are trying to cause trouble.  |

I do on occasions. I get bored of Fab, I take a little break, I feel fab anti-social, someone gets a bit stalkery; mainly because it's my profile and I run it how I choose. |

You have a profile on a website, unfortunately, anyone on here,can look at it. They probably have nothing to hide and may just be taking a break from meeting  |

My play partner would occasionally hide hers to take a break as single women get a lot of messages. When she returns there are no messages to sort through.
It is annoying to get a message from a hidden profile; those just get ignored. |

I sometimes hide my profile if I'm getting a bit fed up. I still like to join in the forums though and might check people out depending on their comments. I don't think I'm doing any harm, if they don't want seen they can always hide too! |

Although we don't hide our profile, I too, sometimes check out a profile, after reading something they may have written in the forums. We also get winks from hidden profiles, it's no big deal, we just delete them  |

My look at me thread is sooo much better.
Op it's a site that leans heavily on the idea that you need to look at profiles to decide if you want to meet or not.

As I said for stalking purposes, if you hide your profile you shouldn't be able to view anyone's profile without first unhiding yours.
If you don't want to be messaged that's fine, there's filters for that.
I think it's wrong to be able to view someone's profile if they can't see yours. There's plenty of stalkers on this site that hide behind hidden profiles.

It's not double standards whilst it is a option on this site for everyone to use!!
I have just viewed your profile but if I had not told you, you wouldn't have know....as in the same way I never see single men that have looked at me...it's called settings/filters and privacy....there for all to use  |

I was dancing like a robot in the clubs that evening.
My mistake was using an Indian pals 'mazola' cooking oil on my fair skin in the sun.
What a dingbat.
And in regards to viewing in stealth. . I'm not a fan.
As I said stalking is real, you may joke and laugh about it but some of us have been affected in very negative ways by it.
I still think that hidden/stealth options on this site are stalkers delight.
I'm of the old maxim that if you haven't got anything to hide then you shouldn't worry about people snooping you back. |

Option A. 'I get so many messages' I need to catch uo
Option B. 'I just feel I want to'

I'm hidden right now. It's just because I'm simply not in the mood.
Do I like at others profiles? Yes people who post, or update, to see who they are out of curiosity.
As for stealth mode? Well yes as outlined, stalking can be an issue, but creating a profile and posting erotic pictures is attracting attention and to some degree you're accepting that all and sundry will look.
Someone with sinister intentions can easily get around that.
Anyway...hiding a profile? It's a choice. You must be looking at me to realise I'm hidden after all? |

I certainly wouldn't joke and laugh about stalking, I too have experience of it and it was physical stalking, so I know how scary that can be, but I don't find someone looking at our profile, on here in stealth or otherwise, stalkers, it's to be expected, I suppose. |

I totally understand why people hide their profiles, with the amount of single guys on here stops a lot of ladies profiles being overly flooded.
Therefore making it easier for ladies to find single men without being constantly messaged etc....
Is annoying but i guess you gotta be understanding as if someone looks at your profile you would like to know a little about them or what they look like etc... |

Multiple profiles are a lot of the problem on this site, men re appearing after blocking them and messaging from another profile set up months ago, women being nosey by viewing from another profile to.
No wonder so many people hide there veris for this reason, men and women. |
