According to Google they both work in the same way. I'm no expert but I wouldn't take the risk.

You can take paracetamol, ibuprofen, codine all together.....but be aware it is codine and Not co-codamol.

You can take paracetamol, ibuprofen, codine all together.....but be aware it is codine and Not co-codamol.it's definitely codine"

2 paracetamol every 6 hours. 2 ibuprofen every 8 hours and two codine every 8 hours.....do not exceed that and see your GP asap

I used do be on Codeine for my psoriatic arthritis, but ended up popping them like smarties. Am now on Tramadol, which is a much better painkiller, although it turns me into a zombie at times lol. Have never taken them together though.

Codeine is an opiate, whereas Tramadol is a synthetic opiate. I wouldn't have thought it was necessary to combine the two if you are taking the correct dose of either.
