Ok.. is there something wrong with me/us?
Ever since I got puberty, I've felt hyper sexual. Couldn't wait to get it oooon.
Now I'm an adult, I haven't changed one bit... Ok I'm probably worse now.
There are a lot of us casual sex and swinging people on Fab/dating sites etc. But.. there's not nearly as many as I thought there would be in this day and age.
Are the rest of the population snobs, cowards, prudes, not as sexual? Sex is usually quite good with people youre attracted to in some way. Its the best physical/mental/emotional thing in life (apart from having children)... yet there are so many singles I know who think I'm nuts for being on here.
Is there something wrong with me/us? Did we get too many horny genes? Or has everyone else not got enough?

i know there's something wrong with me, i was horny before i even had sex and just always had an urge to have sex/be filled with cock. no idea why but there will be some kind of physical basis for that. do i think there's a psychological one? not in the sense that being fucked up makes me horny...how i act on it might give a clue to how fucked up i am though.

Psychology isn't about being fked up though, it's about how and why we behave as we do.. there are tonnes of theories to try and explain it, some make a lot more sense than others though obviously lol.
I think this is one topic where Freud actually had a good handle on it.. he would have said it was a personality imbalance that causes the controls over your urges for gratification to be less effective and leading to 'deviant' behaviour |

the question itself asked if there was something wrong with us.
i know there is something wrong with me, i don't think it's made me physically feel horny all the time is my answer.
it doesn't even make me want a lot of partners either, i'd like a lot of sex only. the more fucked up i was though the more partners i was open to, because sex was my coping mechanism and i needed sex as a way to ignore how i felt.
it's also a way i form bonds, and a way for me to be intimate and let someone know i want them, it's different things at different times depending on how i feel about a person [i]and[/i] according to my mental state at the time ...now this is subjective to me and what i actually want for me. so what is a fucked up state for me and how i act on it might be a totally acceptable state for others.
it's a really complicated topic because it can't be answered objectively, shame i'm knackered and really need to switch off before i get a bad headache coz it's an interesting topic really.
and who gets to decide what is deviant also?  |

It is interesting, totally agree and yeah, vobjective to a degree.. i would bet that a common theme (and this is in me too.. well beyond just this place) is self esteem and confirmation of self worth.. but that will make people shout at me, so I'll stop lol.
In this context, deviant is just something that doesn't conform with social norms.. which none of us do  |

Me too. I've seen a lot of people bounce out of this and the kink lifestyle over the years because they couldn't handle it.
I don't think I have a problem with sex, it doesn't interfere with me living my life, it's simply my sex drive means I want sex several times a day. Personally I'd rather spend my time playing than watching TV, I can't see any way that that's a bad thing! |
