Was in the ice cream parlor with my friends little one and was looking around to see who was having what, so this is a 2 part question

1, do you prefer, a cornet, a waffle cone, wafers, a shell or a tub for your ice cream?

2, what is your favorite flavour?

ice cream is my biggest weakness ,and i have eaten it all over the world ,the best i ever had was a lemon flavoured cornet funnily enough in a little shop in Torquay about 20 years ago ,its gone now i have been back and looked it will stay with me forever it had a light frosting on top ,i have no idea what brand ,but it was totally yum ,my current fave is an italian icecream parlour in neustadt Germany a truly awsome card of treats ....

Off topic, but read a while ago about a Venezuelan Ice Cream parlour that had nearly 900 flavours on offer including Roast Beef dinner, and several others that sounded odd. Whether Google may bring it up, i dont know.

My problem is being diabetic, I can't have it that often, there are so many to choose from in the parlor but I think it has to be orange or peach sorbet in a waffle cone

Vendors of choice?

Luca in Musselburgh or the University Cafe in Byres Rd, Glasgow.

The best ever was the Orlando Cafe at Sauchiehall St/ Argyle St but it's long gone

"what happened to wafers and chockices?"

Up here a wafer is a 'slider'.

Chocices are the work of Satan and should be consigned to the bin.

Thereused to be a shop by Castle Circus in Torquay that sold icecream made by the landcombe dairy (not too sure if it's spelt or pronounced correctly) but that has since long gone. There has however, an Italian icecream parlour has been open for a few years in Barton Hill Rd called Labella, which makes handmade italian ice cream.

But the best ice cream anywhere in the world has got to come from Italy, especially from around the shores of Lake garda at a place called Simione, it is just fab.

Another good place for homemade ice cream is Valentino's trattoria in Wivenhoe, a huge array of different flavours but you have to be a diner there to buy it. The best they have done so far is Rhubarb and custard flavour with all natural ingredients.

For me the best flavour would be in the form of an Italian gelato, Licquorice served in a bisuit cone, heaven

Very much so. I had a phone call from a pal the other day who'd been in Haddington on business.

'You'll never guess where I am', says he. 'Outside Luca's with a double nougat in my hand'.

B*st*rd!
