i've done that yeah, a hot guy and a shit (but not offensive) message didn't used to bother me lol.
i've met all kinds of guys i wouldn't have done usually just to see which way was best for me to find guys who are compatible and have a good idea now what works for me and it's very rare on here indeed unfortunately. |

I tend to look at the profiles before I read messages.... but yeah if there's an attraction there they'd get away with a shitty opening message, as long as the next few messages interest me |

If the avatar catches my eye I'll check out the profile. I have been known to respond to just a "hi" Message before. And then gone on to have a decent chat. |

I got into the habit of completely ignoring this type of person but have slightly relaxed on occasion - but they've never become meets. That first contact seems to represent that we aren't compatible. Now a drop dead gorgeous contactor might get just a little too much leeway.
Maybe that's like life in general, where good looks support some people in getting away with poor behaviour more, compared to the general population |

Yes but that makes sense on a site where people are looking for sex with people they find attractive. But not so much for life in general. |

Yes but that makes sense on a site where people are looking for sex with people they find attractive. But not so much for life in general. "
You'd think so but people generally are biased favourably towards attractive people - more handsome men earn 5% or more than less attractive men, on average. The halo effect seems to shift our perception positively on good looking people, so whatever they do, we tend to infer that they're more positive, intelligent etc than they likely are. I think it influences prosecutors and punishments too. |
