I wish there was a way to turn this off, friend requests from people I've never corresponded with infuriates me, would you walk up to someone in the street and ask to see the pics they have on their phone? doubt it so what makes them think people on here will do it? my private pics are private for a reason! |

I wouldn't walk up to someone in the street and ask to see the pics on their phone no BUT i'd be able to see their face , their body , their movements and suss their demeanour so no need to.
Maybe people don't want to correspond and waste their time with someone they may not fancy after all.
Having on face pic or body pic on show is a good idea to getting this stopped.

For that exact reason..they aren't on the streets so they can be and do whatever they like. They wouldn't do it in the street as they'd probably get a slap. It's frustrating and frankly bloody rude in my opinion. This is fab remember though |

Frustrating, rude, infuriating, a wind up...
So many angry ways to describe a feature that can simply be ignored. Is it the end of the world to get an unsolicited invite when it can be deleted or ignored in moments? |

I used to delete them and get annoyed but now ignore them as it means they can't keep sending. No point getting annoyed as it doesn't stop them and you just wind yourself up, I'm a stress head sometimes so I try not to let people that don't matter get me stressed |

Not sure why it annoys in first place to be honest. It's not as off a huge neon sign saying 'FRIEND REQUEST' flashes as soon as you log in, with sirens going off and confetti flying all over the room.
It just sits quietly in a page you never really need to visit unless you know of someone who has sent you an invite |

Annoy is the wrong word for me, incomprehensible describes my view on unsolicited friend requests. I get that guys do it to perv but not much chance of that on my profile, no pics. So it really makes no sense. |

So why not mail them to say this and then block them. Or ignore the friend request page.
I very rarely get friend requests. |
