Hmmm, that's got me thinking. I have changed what I thought I was looking for. I like a man that is sure of himself so in that sense the opposite of me. But shares a similar sense of humour and moral compass. So a mix of the 2 x |

I wouldn't know what the opposite to me was. I find myself attracted to all kinds of men.
I know I don't find school boy humour or cockney geezers attractive. Or the Geordie Shore/TOWIE types attractive. |

"I'm really unsure, I don't really have a list of things, it is only on meeting up that I'd have a real idea if I was attracted or not "
That's interesting so you would meet someone without there already being an attraction? |

I'm usually attracted to chatty sociable types who are usually shorter than me.
Because i'm so quiet i feel more comfortable with someone who talks a lot. It takes the pressure off me a bit and i relax more.
Sexually i go for dirty filthy men who are up for anything rather than smooth let's make love type lovers. |

I am polar opposite to you. I talk and talk and talk, love taller men, smooth take-your-time kind of guys.
Just made me giggle when I read yours. It was totally opposite way round. Xx
Thoughtful, broody (Not in the wanting children way!) So yeah my initial attraction would be to someone like that but as others have said, after getting to know them, in an ideal world we would have similar interests and views.

I've been attracted to people who share values or interests with me and some that don't really. But in all the cases where it worked the chemistry was good. There were a few where the chemical mix had a tendency to explode though |

Both. I like the challenge of someone opposite, especially if they're feisty and I need to persuade them to see things my way.
On the other hand someone who just gets me and my ways makes for an easier and sometimes more intimate experience! |

I would always have said opposites. But now I've met Mr N I've changed my mind. We are so incredibly similar, we even share the same birthday. We joke that our love is a form of extreme narcissism. We are so similar we are pretty much in love with, and fucking ourselves. He's true only one I've ever met who just gets me and seems to predict my needs and thoughts. And vice versa. Its odd and very satisfying. |

It depends, are we talking frantic shag against the wall, or 6 months in an ice bunker at the South Pole? it will change my attraction process quite dramatically. |

bit of both. i like highly intelligent guys, who are caring and affectionate. but my last decent ex, who was my most compatible, was really quiet and i used to be extrovert and i brought him out of his shell a bit and he nurtured my calm down side. |

I like variety but it's mainly good looks I'm attracted to, intelligence and someone who will make me giggle.
Everyone's true colours show eventually though!! |

Your right in a way. Something I've thought about for a while. Why I'm attracted to different people and not just one 'type'.
I'm attracted to opposites, in physical appearance even there attitude to sex. They teach me things I didn't know, or things I didn't even want or knew I'd like. If that makes sense.
Then there's those people that I can relate to, And I have lots in common with. I know what makes them tick, if they think like me, they probably find the same things enjoyable. It's a much more intimate/passionate type of thing. |
