It's the Sly & Robbie rhythm section and phenomenal production.
The 3 albums she recorded at Compass Point studios (Warm Leatherette, Nightclubbing and Living My Life), are definitely her best, in my opinion.

Loving the Grace love on this thread. One of my favourite artists. Nightclubbing is one of the best albums ever and none of the sly & robbie stuff has aged a day
