I have become more open to different types of music over the years... and for example now I listen more to radio 1 than I did when I was young... weird, eh?

Yes and no, ive fundementally always been into older music from the 60's i have followed trends and was into punk in a big way but even then i had a billy fury cassette tucked away. I grew up on the old stuff.

Deep down ive always been a country girl at heart, but but there is music from all genres that i enjoy. May only be an odd song or two

I'm still an Inde fan and always will be but I do find I prefer middle of the road music for when I'm actually in the middle of the road lol. Occasionally I'll blast The Stereophonics all the way down from Newcastle to Bedfordshire but only when i'm on my own. It's a 4 hour drive and I have all their albums on CD for playing in the car.

have always listened to shite music......my tastes have always been a bit strange as my record collection will verify.....think gigs are a different matter......would not be moshing with all the metalheads anymore at a Candlemass concert (are they still around????) but it would not stop me listening to them

When I was younger, it was mainly the Pop music at the time, and some Classical music. Then from my last 3 years at secondary school, I was in the school choirs, and I got hooked on Choral music.

That genre has grown, but so too have my musical tastes. So, now as well as Choral and Classical, I enjoy Pop (up to 80's), easy listening, some jazz, blues, folk, Northern Soul, Techno Trance and House music. eclectic I think is the description.

South Suffolk Area

Absolutely love garage music and any music that makes me want to dance:]]

On the other note, love more classical music and music that has a meaning, depending on mood xx

I used to only listen to music that was played on real instruments and completely hated anything in the form of electronica.

Now its all about combining the two!

Music is both, a creator and reflector of moods, frames of mind ....

Yes I have a more eclectic taste now whereas I didn't so much when I was young

And I am with you on the hard rocking bit, I absolutely adore Pendulum but really couldn't cope with the concert bit

When I was younger I only listened to gospel, then reggae. I now have an eclectic taste in music, from classical to country, rnb to roots.

I was walking around Norwich cathedral and was mesmerised by the choral music: beautiful!

My iPod has Maroon Five, Fall Out Boy, Vienna Boys' Choir, Jay-z, Snoop Dogg, Luther Vandross, Dusty Springfield, Leonard Cohen: as I said: eclectic!

Don't care what "trendy" name they give it... If I like it.. I like it!! Life is to short to miss out on some really good music by being narrow in my choices!
