Aren't status' meant for self promotion? Putting a status up. Saying thank you to someone for something is promoting that you meet possibly and so serves a purpose.

Maybe they have forgotten who they are.
Or maybe the op has forgotten who they are so need reminding.
But I don't know who they are and now I feel left out. I want to know who they are.
If that is that they are able to tell me who they are.
