Relaxation, so any potential stress is reduced. I've grown and used Feverfew - small chance you've some growing but I get some relief from that or the placebo effect. Typical meds are preventative |

I find that paracetamol is rarely effective.
It all depends on the attack really. Sometimes, no matter what I take won't shift one.
After many, many years of suffering with migraines I eventually found something that would usually shift them, only to find that the manufacturers then ran into licensing problems and the product became unavailable. |

"I went to the docs and got some tablets.
sumatriptan or something it was called.
Really helped things long term. "
Yes to those!
Also, a fan, eye mask and these strips called Cool & Soothe!
Feel better! |

A world of my own |
Cool and soothe strips a dark room and if you can sleep. I get headaches all the time due to high blood pressure but when they become migraines its awful.
Someone probably mentioned it but if my headaches are bad an orgasm can sometimes help! |

"Total silence and darkness works for me
This
I usually gobble a couple of the fast acting nurofen first but these are ibuprofen rather than paracetamol."
I'm quite fortunate in that the pain is fairly slow in coming. If I can get somewhere quiet and dark (preferably to sleep) when I begin to lose vision in one of my eyes I can usually avoid the pain. |

A couple of Solpadeine washed down with a can of full fat Coke will often, not always, shift the pain. Sometimes I'll have the other symptoms that go with my migraines and they can last for three or four days. I haven't found anything to ease these yet, prescribed or otherwise |

After decades of suffering and various prescribed meds I have found Sumatriptan works for me too. I also take a rehydration sachet at the same time which helps with the dehydration from not being able to eat or drink. Then sleep until sumatriptan wears off . |

"Any tips i can only take paracetamol and hate cherry juice?"
Had migraine for years Started taking feverfew tablets daily and they worked. Haven't had an attack for years. Worth a try as don't do the damage painkillers do |

I woke up with a migraine today. I have had a lot recently. If i get them during the day as soon as i get the weird visions in my eyes i take pain meds .. tramadol, paracetemol and ibruprofen. I take them with a fizzy drink if possible cus it helps them to be absorbed. At a migraine clinic i was told that during a migraine the stomach stops working so the meds dont get absorbed until the migraine is over but fizzy drinks help them being absorbed.
Today because the migraine had taken hold while i was asleep so the pain meds didnt help much. So i went bed and slept for a long time. |

I get hormonal migraines, if I take Migraleve (paracetamol and codeine) early enough it may stop it, otherwise only sleeping in darkness and total silence will get rid of it. |
