one or both is always better than neither,but prefer rings to bars when it comes to nipple piercings.I've got one of mine pierced and it didn't increase or decrease sensitivity

I had both done but now I only have one in because when my daughter was a baby she got her finger stuck in my nipple ring and it hurt like buggery! So I took that one out as it was the side I preferred to carry her on and I've just never had it redone.

same here slightly increased an already very sensitive spot - had heard for some though that they had lost that

I have one done, just for the difference in playing with each side! So one side can take a bit more roughness, you don't need to be careful with it, and the other needs to be delicately touched and caressed
