i suspect it has a lot to do with the fact that they are building a tram stop next to the flat hence why i havent bothered virgin customer service with it
my nerves aren't good enough for an exchange of views with them just yet |

I just wish I could get their service.. not in my area yet for cable.. I am stuck with a 2mg service.. most my exchange can handle.. plays havok with webcam use..
Ring them though.. as last time I was with them I got a month free for a similar issue.

the problem is the user may be download heavy, if he/she is
they you may be cap: as there is no problems in the uk
if your not downloading
an your using an old router just threw Ethernet it may be your router is the problem.
try running in in safe mode with networking, go speed test site n run the test then again

i don't download anything - the internet in my house gets used for :
perving and chatting on fab
looking for holidays
checking my bank account
seeing how many nigerians want to offer me their life savings
receiving marriage proposals from nationals of various former soviet states |

We have virgin cable BB and had a massive drop out last week for a few days. Rang customer services and they said it was 'maintenance work' which was crippling my download speeds if not cutting it out completely for long periods. It seems to have been back up to speed and stable since Sunday now. If you complain they will compensate you for lost periods. |

I am a Virgin customer and I find their internet service both blows and sucks at the same time which is quite a feet!
It has been noticeably poorer since they started rolling out their new Tivo based product which requires it's own separate internet connection on top of any normal home use one.
I suspect their infrastructure is straining under the extra bandwidth but it's just a suspicion, I've not read anything anywhere. |

When they first introduced fibre optic cabling in my area many moons ago I bought into it...
CableTel
Then it was NTL whio bought them out before Branson bought out Virgin....
Fell out with them years ago....
I have reverted back to BT for my phone, Freeview already in my HDTV....
As for broadband....I live 100 metres from my local exchange......checked out whio was locked into the exchange and who offered the best package considering I download quite a bit
I am with BE Unlimited......Slowest I get is about 20Mbps on a 24Mbps exchange.....
Running right now at 22Mbps
