No I haven't but be assertive and stand your ground! You are under no obligation to buy anything you don't want so don't let a pushy sales guy try and pressure you into something you don't want.
Most car salespeople I've met (in my limited experience) are ok and will try and help to get the car you want.
If you're concerned can you take a friend with you as your wing man / woman? |

What kind of car are you looking to buy? Is it a new or used car?
Got to The Car People, look at the 2 cars you are interested in there, take a note of the prices, how much they will offer you for your trade in, how much the finance will cost, if you require credit, and then walk away.
Go to other dealer who have the type of car that you are looking for, and repeat the process.
Go to webuyanycar and find out how much they will offer you in part exchange for your car.
After you have done all this, you will be able to judge how much your trade in is really worth, and how much you should be paying for your new car.
Then go to Autotrader and search for the car that you want at the best price, wherever it is in the country, tell them the best price you have been offered for your trade-in and the best finance deal you have been offered and see if they will match it.
You need to play a few dealers off against each other to get the best price. Never just go to one dealer.
Look on Autotrader. |
