Programme on tonight bout a guy whose mother had Cancer, he was tested and found out he is ok with that, but tests showed up something else.
If you knew there was a disease that could be cured by having the tests would you
And if there was no cure would you still want to know |

If the test had been done to find something else and another anomaly showed up then yes, I'd want to know - you can't give someone half the info and then hold back lol |

If there was such a disease I'd be more clued up on it and would probably get tested for it anyway. If it was a terminal disease then yes, definately I'd want to know so I could start on my bucket list. |

Most definetly, im really interested in gene related stuff. If there was no cure at least i would be able to live my life to the best that i could with all the facts.
If you knew there was a disease that had a cure i cant imagine why you wouldnt be tested.
My great grandma and grandma both had breasts of due to breast cancer. My mum was given breast screening from 35 instead of 50 but not me. |

If for example there was an illness in your family that struck so severely you went from being completely able bodied to completely imobile in a very short time. If you knew in advance you would be able to plan for when that time came. |

An hereditary condition- most definitely yes. Something like dementia- absolutely not. Everytime I forgot something, I'd be self-diagnosing. I'm quite capable of giving myself something just by believing I actually have it. It's the witch inme ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

It's OK - you wouldn't remember you had forgot it... and if you did remember it wouldn't be for long. |
