I find myself slowly getting into bdsm, Dom and Sub both intrigue me, but it kinda makes me think of how slaves and Slavery were treated, thoughts on this? Does anyone else think that or just me? |

It hadn't crossed my mind if Im honest. One is a sexual practice entered into with agreement and understanding from both parties. The other is gross mistreatment of millions of people against their will. |

You have free will in D/s and safe words. You can walk away at any time. So not the same at all in my opinion.
If however one party mistreats/physically injures the other in the pretence it's BDSM then yes. But that's not true BDSM. |

I'm not into the bdsm scene but my understanding is that a sub is the one with the real control and power. They choose to give control to their dom/master.
Slavery is entirely different - they didn't have a choice and were forced to comply against their will. |

Not sure which aspect of Dom/sub you are referring to.
There can be a lot of sensory play. It doesn't have to be about inflicting pain and restraints.
Read about d/s play and talk to people for more info. Have fun. |

I get what you're saying. I really do.
However, I get what the others are saying when they state that it is totally unrelated. In an ideal world it shouldn't, but it can raise questions for some. Neither view should be derided. I think it can be difficult for some to separate both issues. I will say it has crossed my mind too.
I think you may have to ask if you want to give into sensous pleasure of exploring your sensuality, or is it a case of what the neighbours will say...
