I know it's a swingers site but...

I need a DIY tip or two please?! I took the beads out of a bifold door to toe and heel it but I'm finding it impossible to get the beads back in now. Any tips please?

Thanks

Yeah lots of videos but all upvc and any for aluminium don't show how to get the beads in. Wonders if there was a window/door fitter on here with a tip.

They can be a Payne in the glass to get back in is it a sunflex bi-fold door? sometimes it's easier to put a white packer between the glass and the bead so it guides it in as you hit the front edge of the bead with a soft face hammer

If that doesn't work try just tilting the bead slightly towards the glass and then tap it in,start at one corner and not in the middle

Thanks, they are sapa doors if you've heard of them? I think they just "tip" in but the others jump out as I do the last one. All go in fine on their own but not together. Trying to put the rubber gaskets back in as I go to hold them in position but the rubber falls into the void. Any tips there?!

Make sure you put the beads back in from where they came from because sometimes they are slightly different sizes and it could scratch the frame if it's too big

Once you get them in put a packer between the glass and the bead and that will stop them falling out so you can get the rubber gasket in

Right... just got there! Looks like the have a recess that sit in first before clicking them in. If you've missed the recess they don't fit. Problem is that the beads are a bit scratched now (not badly but but annoying) can I buy new ones from sapa do you know? I know how to fit them now!
