It's a chip butty if it's on two slices of bread, or maybe one folded slice with chips in.
Or it's a chip bap, on a bap! It says chip bap on all the chippy menues round here. |

Buttered bread and chips are for domestic use, Up North, commercially the roll and chips dominates. |
