What does "gym fit" actually mean?

Asking not in regards to my body, just to get that out of the way.
I've never came across this term until I came on here.
Does this mean fit to go to the gym? Because surely that would be everyone. |

Most terms like this are subjective, so there will be variation amongst people. It would need a legally worded End User License Agreement, with tight specifications, to refine it.
Gym fit generally means, amongst the people I know, usually a guy whose body shows the results of a balanced gym weight training routine, probably that would not have been achieved naturally.
It's probably not a guy who is a very large muscled bodybuilder. Nor does it typically relate to health nor fitness levels Imo. |

Really? Oh fuck! I took it to mean that we work out but are not ripped.
If i had a six pack then i'd just say that. I don't (anymore) because i do a desk job and eat too much while i'm sat at it. But i do still workout so you can feel muscle under my flab. |

I understand that everything will always be vague, but gym fit to means that it has to be connected with going to the gym, which means it's place specific rather than body specific.
This creates a whole another issue when comparing between people who exercise twice a week to those who exercise 5 days a week. We can also compare those who workout outside of the gym, callisthenics for example. They usually don't need to go to a gym but have very toned and muscular bodies. |

I would never consider having a 'six pack' to be a credible achievement in terms of fitness.
Plenty of people have a 'six pack' by never going to the gym or working out but just by being very skinny. |

I love gymfit guys...but in 'my' opinion its someone who goes to the gym n trains hard to achieve that toned n muscle look. Plus healthy eating n looking after themselves too. Its all about self motivation, control n discipline to look great in shape. We women are lucky we have waist trainers, liftup bras n 'bridget jones' pants but Im a big admirer for gymfit bods...keep it up guys  |

The gym for me is part of a varied holistic approach to having the best physical and psychological life I can possibley have , which also includes fantastic sex , pizza , climbing mountains , yoga , and drinking a varied mix of alcoholic beverages xxx |

Defined muscle, low body fat %.
The extreme end is the fitness model build ie highly aesthetic but not strictly related to any sporting discipline.
For the more basic end "not fat or skinny" is how it can be summed up.

Having a six pack while also having significant muscle mass is a fairly credible achievement.
It requires a fair amount of dedication to achive.

Some people become fit and toned through their jobs, some builders etc. These people, being working class, are not wanted by people who require persons who have become fit and toned by paying to go to a gym. |

Fit = can run great distances
Gym fit = lifts heavy things"
