We've already chatted about this but for me, I cannot place money in a race where animals are shot just for falling over!
If there is serious damage then yes it's more humane but simply because the horse will have a permanent limp & not make any money????
No. I can't support that at all! |

"I have had a bet today and a win sure would make it a great day.
But all 40 horses returning safely home would make it a great day too.
"
I never bet on or watch the National anymore, it is too much to ask IMO, not a fair race. |

Hate horse racing with a passion, mainly because i used to live in a town with a racecourse and the amount of wankers who attend annoyed the hell out of me!! |

"I love it personally fantastic spectacle and a fantastic animal too "
Horses are beautiful animals, that's not the discussion here.
Giving money to an activity that shoots these animals, that's my issue! |

Having had and been around horses all my life, shooting is often a kindness, they are not an animal that deals well with the stresses of long term injury. I understand and respect your feelings towards horse racing and many share them but just saying that the shooting bit is only a cruelty to the witnesses not the animal x |

Pleased to report all 40 finished safe and sound.
I used to be in a syndicate owning a race horse. On numerous visits to the stable you can see how well the horses get treated day in day out. |

Im with you on this.. I'm not against horse racing but the national is over crowded and almost always results in some injury it seems. |

Weird how there is no evidence to suggest they're more likely to be injured in that single race isn't it? |
