So after talking to a fellow forumite who noticed my fangs we got to thinking is there many on fab who have a bit of a fetish/fantasy for vampires or vampirism.
From reading Bram Stokers Dracula as a child and seeing the film i've had a love affair with vampires and when the situation allows do dress to show it including wearing my fangs, that i have bitten with (though not drawn blood)
So even though its daylight (yeah i'll get that in before you sarcy buggers do ) come out & tell us what you love about them (this is beyond just liking films) |

I've long held a fascination with vampires. My copy of Bram Stokers classic is still read (with great care now, it's a bit tatty)
The folklore that surrounds him is fascinating. I love the old school Hammer horror portrayals over the sappy tales we get now. |

Do you not like the coppola version of Dracula... with Gary Oldman.
It's my favourite version, the making of the film is fantastic too. Watching that you appreciate the old school techniques used but also the vague elements of the book are nuanced in the film... fucking boss!
E.g.. the bit were harker trnasfer to a coach but cant really explain how hes moved or the lugage carried... happens in the film. It's a beautiful artistic impression.
I sorta like it...
Oh btw... a luuurve your fangs too |

Well now..vampires are all about sex aren't they?
The eyes seduce and cast a spell over the 'victim'. Often fear is replaced by lust and reciprocated kissing and the vampire has a hunger, a thirst, which can only be quenched by penetration.
Thats why women like Dracula and guys like the brides..there's not much sexier than being bitten by someone like Ingrid Pitt. Or 2 or 3 brides..at the same time.

Cool subject
I've had a thing for vampires since i was a kid. First phase was me wanting to be a vampire hunter and having a vampire killing kit i carried around with me in a backpack
Then i went through the wanting to be a vampire phase
Then i started growing up... And wanted to meet a sexy vampire for grown up reasons |

Vampires
Love them, love all the old films especially the unusual and independent ones like Razorblade Smile featuring; Eileen Daly.
Love the novels, especially the 1980's goth spawned stuff like Tanith Lee's books.
And most importantly, I loved the fangs! |

The Hammer films about Vampires I always found them erotic, especially Christopher Lee playing Dracula, in bed in a flimsy nightgown as Dracula looms over me ...
I must admit I enjoy biting my partners in the past (gently) so maybe I have a bit of Vampire in me |

I will admit to having a thing for vampirism... The whole thing is sexy as fook the draw, the seduction, the giving of yourself to another willingly...the fine balance of pure pleasure and pain....
Anyone getting hot in here?

Sorry there are only two vampires for me. The original Vampirella and Lara Raith of the White Court Vampires from the Dresden Files.
I read somewhere that the popularity of vampires at certain points in history is an expression of society's repressed fear of a social change. |

Actually thinking about it my favourite person with fangs is still alive. I am not naming names but those interested in fetish will know of a lady that lives the life is skilled at flogging and has a flogging dvd and makes and sells floggers, dragon tails and fetish jewellery. |

Only one Dracula movie worth watching: "Nosferatu", can still scare the s**t out of me! Not a movie but quite scary: " Salem's Lot".
The concept of vampires can be quite compelling I suppose, maybe a bacterial based syndrome.

Gonna start with - love your fangs wow!
I'm a modern vampire lover, so the 'underworld' type, and love the 'lost boys, but sometimes I swing towards werewolves, as adore them, although when I was a kid (this is true btw), I watched curse of the werewolf and salems lot, so scared I had a cross on my bedroom window..
Dusk til dawn, now that's my kinda club.. |

I was going to get a vampire bite mark on the top of my inner leg. But they got a little too popular for me to do it. |

I didn't like it he was a bald twat with big ears and buck teeth. He wouldn't be sexily seducing anyone with a stylish glamour.
If he came creeping into my room at night I'd bounce him out the window. |

They were if you compare them to neck puncture wound marks, you don't see other teeth marks apart from them do you? If you bit someone even just using your top knashers they'd be incisor marks as well as those Vampire canine marks, would there not? |

In vampire fiction they often drink from limbs and it's the throat they bite not the neck. Also they often use a small knife or hollow tube to drain a victim.

Yes, but I'm referring to puncture marks on the victim and corresponding position of Vampire teeth to cause those marks. Hence my belief that Nosferatu's "vampire" teeth were in the correct position ditto the one in "Salem's Lot" by the way, obviously I'm referring to movies not books or reality. or should that be |

There's also Lunacy but contrary to it's name there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever of the moon adversely or significantly having an impact on people's state of mind or actions.
All cultures are human based and therefore have human frailties, fears and superstitions which have and do result in the fear of the unknown and shuffling off this mortal coil. |

All cultures are human based and therefore have human frailties, fears and superstitions which have and do result in the fear of the unknown and shuffling off this mortal coil.
Ask police or a&e nurses/docs most will say a full moon which affects the tide seems to be a time when there is much crazier things happening "
Again its what people think happens, it has not being borne out statistically even though you right that police chiefs etc believe it does. If memory serves the local chief of police for New quay puts extra staff on full moons even though he's been shown that there was no difference in anti social behaviour etc.
Another human frailty: refusal to accept reality just because they have a "gut feeling". |

Yeah love vampires here too. Was a mental Buffy fan. Like early true blood before it got a bit shit. The opening to blade is one of the best film openings. Enjoyed that Swedish film let the right one in. Lost boys was fab.
They are just so cool with the long lives and they was they can seduce people.
I do think we are missing a modern vampire masterpiece film though. |

Or just the figment of the imagination of Victorians!
Well Vlad the Impaler was around in the 15th century and there was folklore and mythology from eastern europe way way before the victorian period
Even aborigionies in Australia have myths. If you don't give a sick relative blood and they die they come back to take it
There's lots of folklore on vampirism, there's actually a disease called vampirism too
There's also Lunacy but contrary to it's name there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever of the moon adversely or significantly having an impact on people's state of mind or actions.
All cultures are human based and therefore have human frailties, fears and superstitions which have and do result in the fear of the unknown and shuffling off this mortal coil.

As a ex ward nurse, unless it's all coincidental hav experienced many nights when there has been a full moon and how this affects patients and then the following night it's been calm. |

Statistically yes, all studies have shown that the moon has no influence, apart from contrived, on human behaviour and outcome. It is widely accepted that this is one of those incidences, greatly exaggerated by journalists, social media etc, where people just believe it or want it to be true irrespective of the evidence, boring but true. |

No, there's a place for everything. Just feel if someone has to resort to it in an argument/discussion then it just shows that they have no more coherent or valid points to put forward. |

Interesting post OP
this is something I have done with only two people I trust greatly
Here ... Is what many may consider to be taboo. But blood play is very ummm intimate.. In my opinion... You make a small incision get the blood to the surface.. Lick.. Then with it still on the tongue kiss the person you just took it from.... Add a few candles for light...
Eh... But that is definitely not for everyone |

In classical movie shots the neck is shown with only two puncture marks close together so surely that would only be achieved with two elongated top front incisors Luke Nosferatu had. |
