Put a few on but Lord Windemere is being rode by a 2 time winner & has wins over longer distances, at 50's its worth an e/w bet!
Although this year it looks like a favourite might win, Viuex Lion Rouge has it all going for it, Red in its name, good form & T. Scudamore would be the 3rd generation of his family to ride a winner at the Nash! |

I always used to bet on the grand national because it's almost always my birthday weekend. And then I discovered how many animals are killed at the race meets. And figured that I could no longer be someone who supports that kind of cruelty. |

Basically if it wins you get your stake back x the odds. So if you've put £1 on you get £66 plus your stake of £1 plus an amount for coming first. So you'd get about £75. If you put £20 each way you'd get 20 x £75 roughly.
If it comes second, third or fourth you get a percentage of the odds (normally 20%) so you'd get 66/20 x your stake.

but if someone wanted a good each way bet on an outsider.... there is a former 2014 cheltenham gold cup winner in the field that hasn't run well in years but in last race showed signs of finally coming back......
