Having done it twice I can confirm it's a nightmare, first shot I used my room mate from the army. If he had done his job proper he'd have whisked me away to safety. Second time I used my little brother as he'd grown into a man at that point. Had I not had them my best friend was a girl and I'd have happily used her. Just because it's titled best man it should infact be best mate. Or whoever you feel is your best confident and if you don't wanna go through with it they'll support you and drive the getaway car rather than throw you to the lions. Failing that hire an escort and write his speach |

My ex had four best friends so had no best man at all so as not to offend anyone. Not sure anyone actually noticed or cared
My friend chose his dad as they are very close. His dad was thrilled to bits. Do you have any family you could ask?

Well first of all congratulations on your forthcoming wedding.
Bit too far for us to travel down to in order to step in as your best man.
If you have any relatives who you are close to or maybe someone from work (assuming you have a job here) who you get along with it could be worth askkng them.
Hope all goes well for you both on your big day. |

My sister and her partner are getting married later this year after over 25 yeaes together.
He has asked their 20 year old son to be best man but he doesn't want to do it. Now he has a dilemma on who to choose. |
