For years it was unavailible in the uk on video , I think when it was released at the cinema one scene from the film were a tramp gets kicked to death by the gang was said to be the motive for a copy cat killing .
Roman Polanski pulled the film in the UK the misconception was it had been banned.
I watched the film on video about 10 years ago when a friend from work who had a copy brought in from Holland.

saw it at the cine when it came out, being young and impressionable thought it was the bollox and we all bought hats and brollys so we could be droogs.
Saw it again some yrs later and realised what a load of shit. |

Great film..exploring behavourism..and wether governments would use it as a form of control..still a surreal disturbing film fer me ..love Kubrick...2001 is a masterpiece |
