had an appraisal at work today - had to rate myself for a whole list of things from 1 - 10 - with reasons - mostly 6 - 8 with a couple of 9s i did - my nurse rated me so much higher even got a 10 - we also chatted about 2 new ideas i had and both were taken to the manager and have been approved- just gave the old confidence a boost |

it was a very open and honest chat - and interesting to see myself through others eyes - and even though i come across to others in the workplace as confident on paper and how i perceive myself isnt that way at all - never had this sort of appraisal before just a 3 monthly supervision meeting which are fairly quick and not very in depth - also makes you realise how much youre being watched all the damn time as well  |

Well done !!
I have a great book that explains just what you're thinking about .. some of it is around people looking at the same picture but seeing two different things .. but both coming to very different conclusions ... so if you can at first understand the reasoning.. you can quickly both agree on the difference ...
A bit deep maybe, but it works xx |

v relevant to what goes on - family members came into unit today saw 2 staff members playing draughts - saw it and complained - they didnt take in the fact that they were intereacting with the resident they were with who is on a one to one - and only one or two can even push a draught piece about -but happy to watch and chat |
