little house on the praire

So i lost my old cat autumn a few weeks ago. 18 no teeth. She died peacefully in her sleep.

I decided to get another rescue cat ( i limit myself to five)

Her name is willow and shes black with part white face. She was in the rescue centre as her owners overfed her so much ( she weighed 1.7 stone) that they took her to the vet to be put down and the vet refused. So i have her shes massive but really affecionate.

Shes on a weight management programme and has lost 1kg in 4 weeks.

Congrats on your new addition! And fair play. I lost one of my fur babies a few months ago and I would love to make something good out of it and give a home to one who needs but my heart is still a little broke.

Bless you, we both volunteer at a cat shelter when we can, cats like the one you've taken often get overlooked and end up either put to sleep or live our life at the shelters 'lifers' pen.

That's a sleep in! My first furry visit is usually 4ish followed by the other 3 first for cuddles then to tell me they want their breakfast.

Dogs have masters, pigs equals and cats servants ????????

Fantastic about what you are doing with your new cat. Shame on the previous owners for not looking after her properly, but she has found a loving home now and will soon be in good shape.

Sorry to here about your cat op, its sad when your cat passes away, i also had mine 18 years, i was walking home d*unk one night and a little black ball of fluff came of a bush and followed me home meowing all the way, i walked nearly a mile, last year she passed away it was sad seeing her go, in a way im glad she died at home and not run over or gone missing, still miss her and think about when making my sandwiches for work, she use to know when i was making them and sit there meowing until i gave her a bit of cheese, i dont think i could get another cat after her, they say cats choose their owners.
