What are your thoughts when you read a really badly written profile full of spelling mistakes and wrong words? When reading profiles that has so many mistakes included words such as porson, peps, frinds and more bigger to name a few would it turn you off? I know i am not perfect male here.

There is a school of thought that it really doesn't matter.

The odd spelling mistake I can tolerate - when a profile is littered with text speak or errors it can be a turn off.

I know and accept that many people have dyslexia and so it can't be helped. However not ALL bad spelling can be attributed to that.

Probably not foreign. I've found a lot of people can't spell and their grammar is atrocious. Definitely off putting

I've found that the ability to spell is different from a lackadaisical approach to spelling in general. And really no indicator for intelligence. So while it may irk me; I don't allow it to form a basis of an opinion about a person.

You won't illicit a reply from us with lols or any other text talk. Spelling can be forgiven, as long as the context is relevant and comprehending.

We're not here to judge people on their ability to spell and use grammar correctly. Surely it's the content that counts.

As I always say when this old chestnut rears its head.

We're here to fuck and enjoy fucking others, not to pass and English exam.

People will judge on everything they see, not just spelling and punctuation.

I see well if that is people's attitude which could be rude because they think they are better than anyone else on-line. Which is no skin off my nose as I got nothing to lose.

How is that rude?

If someone looks at you and judges that they don't fancy you, it's rude? Really?

From a lot of your forums posts, I do wonder if Fab is the right place for you, you're constantly negative about yourself.

Positivity dude, try it.

Scotland - Aberdeen

If someone contacts me and it is really badly written message along with their profile, I will be honest and say Yes it would and does put me off and I wouldn't reply

Depends on what it says. A perfectly spelt "looking for women" won't get me interested. Something with typo's, spelling mistakes and crap grammar but makes me smile.....

It really doesn't bother me unless it's really bad.I save my judgement until we've conversed enough for me to get a feel of their personality n outlook on life.

Anyway....people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!

what exactly is rude? if someone decides that a poorly written message is not what they want to reply to, that hardly makes them people who think they are better than everyone else, and certainly not rude!

just another excuse to blame other people for not responding favourably?
