On the whole, most members remain discrete with profiles and their personal details. Intricately cropping heads off photos and strategically avoiding identifying features of our homes it's obvious we value our privacy.

But if you were publicly outed on here, what would really happening to you?

I'd be in deep water with work...how about you? Or is it just blushes you'd suffer?

I'm only cautious cos my ex turned stalker on me ... I'm now careful about details I share cos I don't want to be going thro that again

It's a good question, there was an article I was sent today about a Drupal developer who got fired because it became public knowledge that he was a dom. I'm also a web programmer; however I'm fully out about my dom side. My MD and his wife know and even have conversations and joke with me about it. All my colleagues know and some have seen my fetlife profile.

It's a shame that what people do in their private lives with consenting partners is still a social matter of shame to some.

I think it's great to be able to simply say who cares. But obviously we all live different lives with different responsibilities and professional obligations at times.

There are consequences to all choices in life, and as stated, sadly one of the biggest concerns here is being judged and our lives consequently suffering for indulging in an activity that generally causes no harm to anyone.

most of my friends either know or were made on here, the others wouldn't be that surprised, family for the most part is cool, those that aren't...well...who cares? my boss knows so all in all not a lot would happen at all. i'm happy enough with what i do that i use my real name on here, my face id on my profile, i have fabbers on facebook, i've had real friends come to fab, the line is extremely blurry here anyhow so whatever, out me, don't out me, i'm not fussed

To be honest I don't really think any of our friends would be that surprised.

It wouldn't really affect our jobs. I don't see what the big deal is. We enjoy sex alot and we like adding extra people to our fun.

Not for me. That's why I've chosen work where it doesn't matter. I don't find it fun to keep my sexual preferences closeted.

I was doing this job long before i started swinging. I have been swinging for almost 12 years now.

I dont find it exciting knowing i would lose my job if HR found out. I give out very few details about me and sometimes i even give out false details so as to avoid people knowing much about me. I have no wish for my work place or my family to know about my sex life. Nor do i wish to know about their sex life.

If someone was malicious enough to attempt to ruin my life, I'd ruin every last inch of theirs to oblivion.

It's just not a cool thing to do and it's it would strike me as extremely vindictive.

It has been attempted and someone is actively trying to ruin a friend of mines life right now.

All my friends family and kids know I'm on this , as long as I'm happy and safe is the response.

If someone was that bitter and spiteful they will be in for a shock, when they turn round and say we already know ,and the said person would live in fear of revenge forever .

Because I'd have to even that right out
