I loved it from the start on ch5. Just caught up and watched box set start to finish. From s4 I could fast forward and miss nothing important.
It's lost its story. S1 was a fear of unknown plague. Did you get bitten? Has any blood contaminated you? Now it's blood spatter all over face, unlimited bullets, more usable petrol than a Saudi oil field and zero attempt to contact the wider world (even with all the fuel to run trucks on daily runs)
Please don't let it turn into another lost  |

I disagree I think it works well. Each episode does have a a little foreshadow or flash back to flesh out the past, or a hint dropped for the next couple of episodes or next season.
The filler episodes focused on backstory or adding detail to the storyline just mean that when something big happens its like a sensory overload.
Only problem I see with the story so far, is that eventually you have to make something worse than walkers, 'bad guy groups' and 'boom and bust cycles' for the group.
Either that or the show has to get a whole lot darker and really push the accepted norms to stay shocking. |

I loved it! When the tiger jumped out I swear I nearly cried with happiness. Then Maggie showed up. Just hope they lose the slow boring style for next season. Gotta get me some beach ball size lady nuts |

They've said the first 3 episodes "will melt people's minds" in season 8, negan is going to war so expecting a lot of bullets flying and occasional walkers getting in the way, the tiger last night was awesome. |

I was a bit underwhelmed really, the whole season has been a bit too slow for my tastes. That's not to say they shouldn't try and develop characters and sub plots, just that id like it to feel exciting again.
It's lacked that 'edge of the seat' feel for me. |

Ricks a dick, falls for it every time, he needs to start reading people's cv's before letting them into his gang. Feel for the guy..
Tiger was great but why did it eat dummy guy and not Negan, dogs and cats always go for the people with the big stick, could've at least bitten his hand off so he could only play with one of his many wives...
Think Negan's got a bigger gang though so don't know how things will stack next time round... |

I keep drifting off during each episode and have to rewind as I've missed 20 mins of what's going on ! Is anything going on??? |

I hoped that when Neggan drove off at the end that Daryl would find his motorbike, drive after him and use his crossbow on him one handed as he drove along side.
Also when Neggan was driving away why did no one shoot the tyres on that truck. So annoying! |

Negan gets captured and is ricks prisoner in the graphic novels, that's what I was told, but then they team up to fight yet another group of people. So it's kinda going in circles now. |

The story arc in the comics was much better. Obviously there's still some story to be told, but so far I can't say I'm really that interested in the show any more. Way too much filler for what was a pretty boring finale |

just looked it up sounds ok - ive found series one 1-6 - will download overnight and see what its all about |

When the show got stale before they changed producers...maybe it's time to do the same again...this season was a bit Shit TBH..

Only caught up last night, was a better episode - Sasha jumping out as a walker was great as was Tiger moment, even if a bit cheesy. But didn't need the flashback to Sasha/What's his game now dead - just boring filler that didn't contribute I feel!
Rest of series has been way too slow. Here's hoping next series has more exciting moments! |

I love the weapons that are used in this series. It's like the who's who of rifle history from WWI to the Vietnam war.
Carl seems to using an FN Browning (can't really see) which I used to fire as a kid and the kick would almost put me on my butt. |

Far too many fillers now. And for an end episode I thought it was weak.

Still chat about it with work colleagues, just not as exciting as previously.
Had a trade show the other week and phone signal went down, in the movies that signals carnage isn't far away....cue long discussion on what we'd grab 'when' the walkers arrive. Wasn't the busiest of days and a long discussion! |

We enjoyed the series, and the finale. Did get a bit slow in places, with some (!) filler but the tiger more than made up for it! Lol

It's a massive flop this season with an ok-ish first & last episode, needs a more exciting writer to make it watchable.
Negan is the best character in the show now & a bad you don't want killed...give him his own series it would be more inteesting lol
To survive it needs to be drastically changed for the better. |

Ricks total lack of strategic imagination was very disappointing. Considering he thought he had the element of surprise he didn't use it very well.
Personally I think it could all be ended with a couple of guys behind the grassy knoll. But I suppose it wouldn't be as dramatic as people running around firing from the hip in full automatic. And a tiger. |
