Nice to see the out pouring of grief over the bombs in Russia. Have you put a Russian flag filter on your Facebook avatar yet?

Gosh, I was unaware of this. Awful. Thoughts with those affected.

Sorry, I don't do Facebook.

RIP to all those killed, and condolences to everyone else affected though

I see people would have been more outraged if it had been 11 cats.

It's awful and you're right I've seen no outpouring of grief . I never put any of those sort of filters on as there's atrocities all over the world every day and I couldn't pick one over the other Mrs

Sadly atrocities like this are becoming far too common these days for whatever reason. I suppose that it's only when it happens in "your own back yard" that people display any kind of outrage

So are saying people aren't allowed to choose what affects their life, what they're allowed to be upset about?

There weren't any union jacks on Facebook a couple of weeks ago either - so what, different events come at different moments in time and have different reactions.

Outpourings of grief do seem to be in direct correlation to proximity, more a reflection of our fears for ourselves than anything IMHO.

I went to St Petersburg or Leningrad as it was back then I also spent some time in Moscow and I loved it such friendly people I would happily go back there. We should all stand up to terrorism no matter what nation it happens in.

I think it's a bit sad that the attack in Russia couldn't have a mourning thread without the cynicism and point-scoring-type overtone of this one.

Anyway, I've been watching it closely on the news. What a sad thing to happen. They are currently looking for a suspect from Kyrgyzstan. My thoughts are with those who were affected.

Or when the perpetrator has a foreign sounding name..

Russia has at least one internal conflict with 'separatists', add in their actions in Syria and the Ukraine and sadly such events are not a surprise..

I don't use Facebook..

It's sad wherever it happens.

There is some truth in our level of de-sensitisation when it happens far away or in places that don't feel like here.

14 more lives wasted
