Murray took the first set but Nadal's stepped up a gear in this one. Can't see Murray beating him tbh. As usual.
Happy to be proven wrong though on this occasion. |

"Dont know why people slate him he is world class and miles better than henman ever was and still only young"
Cos he once said he'd support anyone but the English. He's backtracked on that somewhat now, but a person is responsible for the words they utter and, once said, they can never be un-said.
Come on Nadal! |

So who do you want to win?
In your op you stated you'd be happy if Murray won
In this post you are cheering for Nadal |

I don't really care tbh, neither of them are English. Murray always fails spectacularly when it comes down to the wire and he just doesn't have that killer instinct that Nadal possesses. Nadal has 19 straight match wins at Wimbledon, kinda says he has the mettle doesn't it. |

He's fallen apart somewhat hasn't he. His net shots aren't getting over, his lobs are going straight back to Nadal and when he tries a pass Nadal answers it every time. |

andy just doesnt have the killer instinct to win the big matches and the likes of nadal do.
he maybe young but until fed and nadal get older and retire andy will only win the big games when these two are out of them. |

it seems to be the thing with british sportsman and women.
we love a loser dont we.
look how everyone loves frank bruno because he was a genuine nice man but in the ring he just wasnt good enough and only won the world title against a poor oliver mcall.
i was in america and watched tyson completely take him apart.
you have to train with hate to be successful. you need to sacrifice everything to win and at the very top british sports persons in the major televised sports are not good enough.
we worship foreign sports stars more than our own but instead we should have the drive to pound them into submission and win at all costs.
its the difference between a champion and the rest. |

"well us jocks still support him lol if he won he would b BRITISH ...... but hey ho hes scots now cause he lost lol"
He has made his feelings known about the english, just like lots of other Scots do...but I still wanted him to win...he might have broken out in a smile.
It is just a shame that there is such a divide when most English people will support Welsh/Irish and Scottish in sports ( assuming they are not playing against us of course ) |

Ahem. Couple of names for you.
David Haye
Rory McIlroy- US Open/World No 3
Luke Donald- World Number 1
Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton both recent world champions.
All at the very top of their sports. The guy has lost a semi final to the best player in the world.
Give him a break.

"He's out. As usual.
Aye . . . but he'll still wake up with £10m in the bank.
What will you wake up with?"
The satisfaction of having seen a true champ beat a pretender. |

Disappointing for many and most north of the border. With Tennis though there is only one winner though. He may win a major at some point but he needs to have a better mental attitude if he is going to stand any chance. |

Agreed. He lost his cool when he dropped a set and it was like he was preprogrammed to lose it completely. He then went on to lose 7 games in a row.
He simply doesn't have that killer instinct that says, "Right, now bury this fooker and ground him into the dust!" Nadal did have it, and when he won the 2nd set that tie was only heading one way. |

I think that's the difference. He has skill, he has power but is lacking that bite, determination , killer instinct call it what you will he hasn't got it right now. |

"I read somewhere that he's the No 4 seed at Wimbledon. That seems to suggest he was expected to come 4th.
Did he do that or better?"
By that reasoning Tsonga should now be at least No.2 seed, no? |
