I'm moving to london tomorrow for a few months as work as dried of for me (hopefully just temporarily) here in wales.
Now I can get temp office work in a heartbeat but I fancy having a crack at courier work.
I realise that the claims the courier companies make of £700+ a week wages are probably considerably overstated, and that it is tough, dangerous and hard work - but I'm still up for it.
I'be been riding for over 10 years - 5 of them in london (i passed my test there) so it know it well enough to get around - and I have sat nav for the tricky bits.
can anyone offer any advice about getting a start in the business? |

I worked for some time in Whitehall and needed to be in constant document transfer with a number of MOD locations withing the congestion charge area. Everyone involved agree that the best way to make it work was via bicycle courier - security was a minor obstacle. |

I don't think my current level of fitness could cope with anything that didn't have at least a 100hp engine |

Rubbish, i cycle a hell of a lot. You'd be upto speed in days. I assume in any event there'd be a lot of stop start, getting yer breath back. Bikes are much more mobile too. |

fair point - I just recently wrecked all the ligaments in my left ankle (epic nerf gun battle with my 9 year old nephew - bruce willis would have been proud of my heroic dive over the compost bin) and cycling would actually be good therapy.
Got any contacts for cycle courier firms?
