How often do you goto the gym?
Jump to: Newest in thread
This time last year i was going to the gym 6 days a week, mostly boxing training.
I stopped going about August. No reason for it really, i just got fed up and bored with it all. I just can't seem to find any motivation to go anymore. |

4/5 times a week - only do classes though you wouldn't catch me boring myself to death on a cross trainer! I work so much harder in classes than I would on a machine unsupervised the instructors at pure gym are awesome!! |

I've trained 6 days a week for 37 years. LOL! Most of that time I was a competitive athlete.
The last year zero. Went back to basics after some time off due to illness and do some push ups and a few other things every now and again at home. That's it.

"My mirror reckons not nearly often enough, although I spin 4/5 times a week and gym 3/4 times, just heavy boned I guess "
Overdoing it.. Go every.other day for better results.
Your muscles repair and strengthen and nerd 24-48 hours off. |

Never,I hate the gym.I have one or two rugby training sessions a week and a match most weekends as well as coaching an U10 squad every weekend during the season and occasionally refereeing.I also have an active and physically demanding job,all of these things keep me reasonably fit and keeps the podge at bay so got no need to visit a gym |

Haven't been to a gym for two decades but walk a lot at work and eating healthy these days and feel great. When I was under my doctor he said as long as I did what I've done don't need to go to the gym. |

I go once a month.
However its not to exercise but to have a sports massage to ease the pain in my trapeze muscle and to sort out the tingling and numbness in my arm, shoulder and fingers caused by the damaged trapeze muscle. |

Gym maybe 1 or 2 times a week plus 1 HIIT class, plus 1 class for stretching/suppleness, and 2 to 3 runs per week between 2 and 15 miles (upper mileage being increased monthly )
Too much??!! |

About 4 times a week lifting - do a couple of half hour HIIT sessions a week after lifting and I try to do an hours circuit training once a week.
Also lift heavy things and move around a lot at work. |

Bodyweight lifting exercises 2-3 times a week for 35 mins at home depending on how busy I am. Swimming once a week and now the weather is a bit better Ive been skipping in the back garden for 30 mins once a week. I need to vary it or I get bored, couldn't run everyday for example.
Also do a lot of walking and shagging.

Thats more for gaining mass not losing weight.
But weight is almost always lost in the kitchen not the gym.
Trying to work up a calorie deficit is way harder than trying to cut one out of your food intake |

There's no such thing as over doing it. The misconception people have with over doing it is they aren't eating enough so they lose weight/gains and think they are over doing it when in reality all they need to do is eat more. You are what you eat essentially |

"Zip, nada, none! The last time I went to the gym was 1997 I think
What do you do instead, because you're in bloody good shape? "
Cheers I put it down to a mixture of self employed work related stress. An hour of running around for footy after work on a wednesday and sporadic trips to the coast for a bit of surf too. Oh, and the occasional 5-ish hour sexercise session helps immensely |

At the moment I'm going about every 4-5 days to do weights and core. During he winter I was going just to use the treadmill more as a break from running in the dark and cold than anything else but now running outdoors more as the weather's better but still doing the occasional speed session on the treadmill. And as part of my training for Snowdon trail marathon I do at least one lunchtime session a week on the staircase thing to try and stimulate long slow climbing |

"I've been to a gym twice in my life.
And on both occasions, it was to do an erotic photoshoot!

That's the only thing that would ever get me to set foot in one. |

3 times a week. 30min/6k treadmill run followed by stretches and weights for upper body. I've been experimenting with spin instead of running but it's not going well..

Average 3 times a week. Changed my attitude this year. Seeing changes in my shape.
Hope to drop 2 sizes by year end. Preferably before my kid starts school. |
