This afternoon's 3 mile stroll to work is to the nostalgic musical soundings of Kate Bush...

What albums give you a nostalgic serenity?

Which albums are you listening to? Love a bit of Kate Bush...

Currently chilling to Joni Mitchell: "Blue". Next up, probably some very early Fairport Convention, or some Fleetwood/Green-era Fleetwood Mac (not that I dislike the Buckingham/Nicks stuff, just sometimes I like to go more bluesy)

The whole story. Love it.

Wonderful album. I'm not usually big on compilations - usually they are all the popular stuff, which isn't necessarily the good stuff. But that one is a real classic, and a great cross section of her (pre-50 Words) material.

The Jam - Snap! Reminds me of my teenage years

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses for my going out and doing stuff of my late teens, early 20's

The Verve - Urban Hymns , Paul Weller - Stanley Road and a few other britpop era albums as they remind me of the time I first became a parent

Paul Weller - Stanley Road.

Takes me back to when I was fearless and invincible, ah 1995

The Doors - L.A.Woman

When I grew my hair and used to go out in Leather Jeans... Oh misspent youth

Free - The Free Story

When my journey into Rock really began...

Gonna have to get my iPod recharged

I thought you were talking Bushmills whisky. I was about to suggest a wee Black bush instead of a wee Bush!

Struth - a huge proportion of my music collection - the majority of it is from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Especially bands I saw live at that time

Genesis and Rush probably are the most nostalgic as they were a massive part of the soundtrack of my teens:

'Wind and Wuthering', 'Trick of the Tail' And Then There Were Three' and 'Duke' from Genesis

'2112', 'Farewell to Kings', 'Hemispheres', 'Permanent Waves' and 'Moving Pictures' from Rush.

Ooooh Kate Bush -- that's going to make me want to nightie-dance now!

Nostalgic album for me is Blood on the Tracks -Bob Dylan.

Although closely followed by Blue - Joni Mitchell and Graceland - Paul Simon.

These are growing up/family memories.

Graceland was the first CD I ever bought, all of 27 years ago. And I've still got it.
