Afternoon fabbers,
As we all know the men to women ratio is far higher but do any women actually message men first or do you sieve through your many inbox messages seeing if there's anyone that catches your eye? I know it's probably been discussed before but there's that many topics... |

I've messaged first because of a forum post or to compliment them on their pics and profile but never to arrange a meet.
I couldn't message someone first to arrange a meet unless I could see their face.
I'd just find it very hard to turn someone down if I wasn't attracted to them after initialising contact.
And I know they could say no to me anyway  |

Yes , my wife will often initiate contact with a guy if we are looking for a meet .
We know what we are looking for on here , and to sit back expecting it to land on our laps is crazy !

I wonder what would happen if guys stopped messaging women for a few days? It would be entertaining to see how good the women are at first contact, considering all the criticism they direct at the male population of fab lol  |

I prefer to message men rather than the other way around, if they are crap at responding then I only have myself to blame... |

I do, as I have blocked single men from messaging me, but will lift that block occasionally.
I much prefer to message first as I can message those I'm interested in and see where it goes from there. That way I can avoid having to waste a guys time that I'm not interested in. |

I sieve, although I manage my filters, so as not to become inundated with unmanageable messages. I find it more productive than scrolling through hundreds of profiles to find someone to message. |

I do message fist at times.
but I have to admit that I go through all messages and hotlist some for later or to see how they get on. I may come back to them months after they messages and I deleted their message  |

Sometimes. If someone catches my eye or ive seen something they've posted in here.
I find it hard to know what to write at times so I am guilty of just winking and hoping for the best |
