It's fair to say women and couples get the bulk of the messages, or so we're led to believe anyway, but are you in the minority, who doesn't get many messages or none at all some days, our couples profile can go a few weeks before we get a message, and messages we send out to couples can go unread for a long time too.
So my post is mainly to the women and couples as we know guys getting a message is rare as rocking horse shit on here. 
Do you get noticed or are you under the radar as they say? |

It depends on whether I want to be under the radar or not.
It's easy to do things to get noticed on here but it's just as easy to not do things so you're left alone. |

Don't get many messages those days
Jst the odd one frm guys trying they luck or couples looking for single ladies even tho my profile states am not meeting on my own
But on my couple profile normally get messages every time we put up need pic's |

We're fairly under the radar as far as receiving messages goes. No idea what happens to the sent mail as that box gets emptied frequently. The level of response suggests that most sits in the inbox or gets deleted. |

I usually get a fair few messages each day but nothing like the 100s or even 1000s I've seen some women on here refer to. But a) I'm 'old' and b) I don't deliberately draw attention to myself with new daily pics, flirting on the forums or continual (suggestive) status updates which I'm guessing helps get you more mail.
So yeah, am pretty much under the radar but I don't mind ... it'd just be more time consuming sorting the minority of worthwhile messages from the crap. If I wasn't happy about the mail I get I guess I'd have to alter my stance to encourage more messages ... |

I've had 114 messages so far today but that's alot less than I was getting before I set my age filters.

I think females can control the level interest they receive on here, can't comment on other groups as I can only see what happens in my own inbox lol. There are definitely things you can do or not do to increase or decrease the number of messages you receive. I was told no pics no messages, not true, it just means you don't get 100s of messages every day. Just one way not to shine so brightly on that radar |

its fair to say I am under the radar these day, but that's just how I like it..
a lot of those who say they have 100's of messages clogging up their inbox usually have extended age ranges and are happy to accept messages off men so they only have themselves to blame tbh.. |

It's easy to be noticed, just engage your brain and think out of the box . Cock pics and 'up for anything' won't attract many messages.

Exactly this, and happy with the way I use fab and the people who I meet, and agree that lots of messages do not equate to lots of nice genuine single sexy men that I would want to meet anyway.

Someone must have nicked my radar as I am so far under it the damn thing must be missing.
I been on this site for must be going on 18 months or more and I can count on both my hands and feet the total amount of messages I have had in all that time. I go months without any messages.

I did randomly get noticed in a thread but a lovely forumer the other day but didn't see the response for a couple of day, at which point the opportunity to interact had past.
That said, I don't cause much controversy so primarily go under the radar. This isn't unusual though and i'd say was the 'Fab norm'.

Under the radar. It's pretty easy to achieve and still have your message filters open; just don't have highly fabbed pictures and take all your looking for off so you don't appear in local updates. I'm using filters as well just at the moment but that's the east way of doing it if you still don't mind the odd new messager. |

From an outsider/newbie's perspective:
Is it just me, or is it inc_edibly ironic that there seem to be some pretty decent people going unnoticed, and some equally decent single men whose efforts don't bear fruit?
In other words... guys, I think we're sending all our messages in the wrong direction. Try some of this lot instead! |

I occasionally make a bet with myself if I spot one of the 'say something about the poster above threads' about how many times I can get skipped. My record on a bo_ed day was 11. So no, it's not personal. Or at least I like to think so! |

If I upload a new pic or join in on with certain threads I struggle to keep up.

If I'm active & online I get a lot of messages. If I don't login for a while I don't come back to any new ones.
The amount of messages I receive doesn't bother me which is why I'm not filte_ed upto the max nor do I moan about it either.
When I really cba to talk to anyone I just hide my profile or have no visible pictures, does the trick. |
