FixMyStreet is a great way to get potholes and the like sorted, usually within a few days.
Today, Sunday, Mother's Day!, the hole we saw at lunchtime had been fixed by 5.30pm.
It's a miracle.

You could try. They usually get someone to spray paint a white circle around it first though so that might alert her of your intentions.
