The amount in this account is currently $19,340,000 (Nineteen Million Three Hundred and Forty Thousand United States Dollars) I want to present you as a beneficiary,I will use my position and influence in our bank to make they release this money to you for us to share.If i wait for days and i do not hear from you,I shall look for another person.

I got one of those through the post. I decided to have a play with them and see what they did so I set up a disposable email address and contacted them.

Thank you for your recent letter informing me of the sad demise of my relative John which was forwarded to me at my new address. It comforts me to know that someone is looking after his estate and that it can do some good after he is gone.
I would be very happy to work together to move his funds. Also, I remember John having a very expensive watch collection. Has this also been recovered. I would be happy to split this also.
Hopefully it is not too late to work together.

Yeah they used to get loads of people with the subscription scams in the post; was a bit trickier to catch them out when you didn't have an obviously bogus e-mail address and you couldn't look them up on the internet.
They operate all over eBay and gum tree trying to palm you off with fake cheques, with an amount way over the asking price and get you to refund the difference and send the item.
There's tons of variations. |

I'm getting a few from the Government (HMRC) stating that I'm due a tax refund. Always different amounts and I'm required to fill out the form in the attachment.
Not exactly an African Prince but possibly originates from the same region in Africa  |
