Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

For those saddoes like me staying in tonight, are you watching? Anything you're looking forward to (let me guess, does it have Actually in the title?)

Not sure I can cope with James Corden and Miranda Hart any more this evening, but might stick it out for the look back at old Comic Reliefs.

How about donating when it makes you well up? Or would that be £0.00 too?

I must admit after 23 mins I am feeling the need to turn over. I was happy to do a bake sale, and managed to donate £80, but I think that's as much as I should have to do.

i'm just not really that into telly to be honest whatever it is...i relented and actually bought one last year and it's just a monitor for other stuff now i'm searching for some way i've given to charity now cos next to you i feel mean but i've got very little to come back with! i'm a bit of a miser. i do a little bit for the education for the children foundation in terms of getting them into festivals to run bottle exchanges, the profits of which they keep, and we got them into t in the park's charity village (when that was a thing) and stuff like that but i'm a bit of a grim ol' sceptic with giving my own cash to a middle man. i'll stop and give homeless people a bit sometimes or a few roll up's worth of backy and a chat but that's about me

Eh, I only do charity because I like baking. I don't do runs, or days out, or anything like that. I just thought it might be good to watch as I haven't watched it for so long, but it really is dire.

I will tape it. Forward through to the bits I am interested in.

Not giving them any funds this year, gave a bit of dosh to the disaster relief via Save the Children and done a shed load of cupcakes twice in the last month for Acorns and the church fair.

Not religious as such but my neighbour is and looks after my munchkin for free when I walk my dog so just helping her back, really x

Put it away, Plectrum! If I see it once more this period, Plectrum, I shall have to tweak you. Do you have a solicitor, Plectrum? You're lying, so I shall tweak you anyway.

That was very sad.

I saw Sir Lenny in the flesh (not like that!) a couple of years ago and he was very toned then. Now that he's got rid of the facial hair he looks younger.

I may be getting old and grumpy but I do feel the build up has been a "look what starstudded bash the bbc is holding tonight" almost like a Christmas line up advert. When I remember live aid and the first couple of comic reliefs actually being hashed together because there is unacceptable suffering in the world.

Maybe we're guilty of accepting the suffering as a day to day thing it has no meaning anymore. The world is a mess after different governments, world leaders; the good intent has been lost as we never question politics anymore. The celebs should be speaking out about why these people are in this situation such as homeless and helpless.

But they do and then are slammed for commenting on something when they're 'just celebrities'.

I don't think the show is good this year but I'm still glad people made Malteser cakes etc.

I don't know who the annoying woman in the silver skirt is either. Perhaps I'm not enjoying it as I don't know who everyone is and those I do know I like for their dead-pan, derisive stand-up. Which doesn't translate well for show telethon show.

The one i watched was asking for a testing kit. If she had been tested and the malaria was found earlier they could have saved her.
