Think about it OP, as an opening message, when you've probably not seen face pics, or got to know the person a little, a message saying how hot they are is going to come across as a little shallow and just an attempt to get into their knickers, especially if the message is a simple one liner telling them so. |

We get plenty of those, as compliments go, they're fine to receive. Will usually reply with a thank you and that's generally, end of convo.
There's bigger dramas in life to have to suffer. |

Having a profile without pics I get more cerebral messages, guys looking for a challenge, which is what I enjoy. I like the stimulation regardless of where they are, love chatting and knowing a bit about ppl in the forums makes it more fun |

I have no face pic. So I just assume they've got the horn regardless and are scattergun messaging any likely woman within their radius just in case they get lucky. I might be wrong but a random message saying I'm hot when they can't see my face translates in my head as a message saying I just might be marginally better than a wank. |

I don't mind if they're polite and respectful but if they're over keen its annoying. Someone saying I've got a nice bum is fair enough, someone saying I'm the hottest person they've ever seen is annoying, as it was said before they haven't seen my face, I could be a beast! |

Depends what the compliment is, a compliment of how wonderful your arse is when you don't have any arse pics on your profile is instant delete material. A compliment about my tshirts however will usually get an answer  |

I have been a couple profile and now single and would agree, a more interesting comment that shows you have been observant and interested indicates a non carpet bombing male strategy, love the light blue hair ginge ! |
