Although I'm likely to forget to check winks so prefer they man up and send a message. Then I have a reason to ignore them. |

Only tend to take notice of winks if they're from verified profiles that aren't a million miles away. Then we'll both have a look and if interested, wink back, as we see them as kind of a quick introduction x |

Winks are a great ice breaker but are ignored by the masses here, people use them differently, I don't wink first but if some one winks me, I'll wink back, I see it as a friendly hello and nothing more, I've had winks from couples and women in the past, I just wink them back cause before then, I'd send a polite message, which would get deleted 
So these days I don't pay much attention to them. |

I wink all the time, but never get a wink back.
Having said that I have been winked at, but not responded to a few that winked at me in the first place. Mainly because I didn't fancy them, so I under where people are coming from. |

I respond to winks and state so in the profile. I see them as easier for people to use than messaging, to test my interest.
Obviously don't bother sending to those who state they don't use them or where you don't match their interests |
